APIPlayground is committed to protecting your privacy. We believe in minimal data collection and transparent practices. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
APIPlayground does not require an account. You can use the full functionality of the platform without providing any personal information.
We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the service:
Anonymized records of proxy usage including timestamp, target host, HTTP method, status code, and latency. No request bodies or headers are stored. Retained for 24-48 hours.
Hashed IP addresses and request counts for rate limiting. Stored in ephemeral memory with automatic expiration. Not persisted to disk.
Privacy-friendly analytics via Plausible. No cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking. Only aggregate page views and interaction counts.
Request history is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to our servers.
APIPlayground does not use cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookie-free and does not set any tracking cookies in your browser. We use localStorage for request history, which is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers.
You can clear your request history at any time from the playground interface. This removes all locally stored data from your browser.
